# About us — HUNTERRA

> By hunters, for hunters. An app that was born in the hunting ground, not in an office.

We've been hunting since our childhoods. This passion has been passed down in our families for generations. Because we are proud of our hunting traditions, we keep trying to improve and discover new methods, and to simplify our mission and our work. Game management and hunting are our lifestyle, so we try to make them as pleasant and efficient as possible.

Our mission, realised together with the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague and under the patronage of the Order of Saint Hubert, led to a first success: the HUNTERRA hunting and game management platform. It is an iOS, Android and web application, and the partner app of the Czech-Moravian Hunting Union.

We did not want to reinvent the wheel, so we started by analysing the outdoor apps already on the market. Unfortunately, none of them offered the set of features needed for serious game management. So we accepted the challenge and built a platform for our own purposes and those of our hunting friends. We asked 300 Czech and Slovak hunters about their needs first.

The results were inspiring in many ways and, overall, not surprising: we were on the same page. Our first steps focused on driven hunts and sharing the positions of participants and dogs. Based on the survey, we then turned to individual hunts and the needs of hunting ground managers.

## From Czechia to Europe

HUNTERRA started as an app for Czech and Slovak hunters. Today we have extended its support across Europe, mainly to Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Slovakia. The app speaks 16 languages, loads hunting ground borders from public sources where they exist, and this website is available in seven languages.

- **Where to find us:** Czechia, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy

- **Since childhood** — in the field, not in an office
- **300+** — hunters surveyed before development
