Advanced dog management
NUM'Axes joins Garmin and Dogtrace, pairing has moved under Integrations, and each dog can have a profile with its breed, identification and working tests. A track turns into a stalking path in one tap.

HUNTERRA now supports Garmin, Dogtrace and NUM'Axes GPS collars. Pairing has moved to the Integrations tab, each dog can have a profile with its breed, identification and working tests, and the number of dogs is not limited. In the dog's card the handler sees its state, speed, distance covered and elevation gained; everyone else sees only the colour and the name. A recorded track can be turned into a permanent stalking path in one tap.
HUNTERRA began out in the field. Map layers, drawing the lie of the land, sharing the positions of people and dogs, organising driven hunts. Plenty of record-keeping features have been added since, but the mobile app remains the leader on the market. We have improved what it does in the field and widened the range of GPS collars and drones it works with.
New GPS collars
Alongside Garmin, the king of the GPS collar world, and Dogtrace, the Czech market leader, another brand has arrived — NUM'Axes. And more will not keep us waiting long. Whatever technology you decide to use, HUNTERRA is the common denominator of a driven hunt. You can follow everything that happens in a single app.
Pairing collars
Pairing collars works much as before, we have only moved it under the "Integrations" tab in the settings. And there are more options to set. For the record: Garmin collars still pair with HUNTERRA through a Garmin watch and the HUNTERRA or Tracker+ app. Both are free to download from Garmin Connect IQ.
After pairing a handheld you get the list of dogs stored in it and can choose which of them to show in HUNTERRA. Their number is not limited.
The dog's profile
Once paired, you can set the details of your dog. In particular
- the dog's name,
- the colour of its collar (and of its track),
- the dog's breed,
- the dog's identification (microchip, pet passport number or tattoo),
- the dog's entry in the central register (for integration with digital records),
- the working tests the dog has passed.
All of it can be changed at any time. It matters not only for the records themselves, but also so that the holder of the hunting ground or the ground manager can put the dog into the ground's roster and generate the Mysl 6 report from the dogs stored that way. As you have come to expect from HUNTERRA, the statutory records are only a by-product. It is worth adding here that a dog shows up for the ground's owner or manager only when its handler is a member of that ground and holds the "Dog handler" role.
Advanced information about dogs
The reason for entering the details is more prosaic — the name and ID you enter help during joint hunts, and so does the colour you choose. The dog's track is drawn in that colour for its handler. Everyone else sees a dashed line alternating the colour of the dog and of its handler. At an event where everybody turns up with an orange or yellow collar, it is therefore obvious at a glance whose dog is whose.
In the dog's card, which opens when you tap its avatar in the map or its track, the handler sees further useful information — its state (pointing, sitting, running and so on), whether it is giving voice, its speed, the distance it has covered and the elevation gained. There is also an arrow showing where the dog is.
The dog's state is shown directly in its avatar in the map as well.
These details are visible only to the dog's handler. Everyone else sees just the colour and the name.
Recording stalking paths as you go
Until now, saving stalking paths, deer trails and walked rounds was a half-manual process — you could turn a recorded route into a permanent map element, but now it is simpler still: tap the button on the track's card and the recording becomes a stalking path or a walked round automatically.

Besides further collar makers, more drone models have been added. We are pleased to say we now support the Enterprise UAV range from Autel.
