Frequently asked questions
- Do I have to register?
- You can use the app without registering. You only need an account to create or join a hunting ground or an event. Registration takes an e-mail, name, password and accepting the terms.
- Do the maps work offline?
- Yes. Download the base map for offline use in the map settings. Without signal you still see the downloaded maps and all saved points of interest, and you can add new ones, they sync once you are back online.
- How do I join a hunting ground?
- With the unique six-digit code from the ground's owner or home hunter. In the Grounds section tap “+”, enter the code and confirm Join.
- We share our locations but can't see each other. Why?
- Everyone must have sharing switched on, only members of that hunting ground see each other, and only while physically inside it. A few hundred metres past the border tracking switches off automatically to protect privacy.
- Which GPS dog collars are supported?
- Garmin devices (Astro 320 and newer, via DOGGLE or a Fenix watch) and Dogtrace collars with Bluetooth. Pair them under Account – Settings – Collars.
- The app drains my battery. What can I do?
- GPS, location sharing and map downloads use power, especially in cold weather with the screen on. Share your location only during the hunt, download maps beforehand and keep the screen off.
